Select the arm stroke according to the tonnage of the injection molding machine.

The distance traveled by the three axes of the robot is called the stroke. The size of the stroke is related to the size of the component, the lowering position and the injection molding machine.

For ease of understanding, it is usually defined according to three axes:

X-axis: also called the drawing stroke, its size is related to the thickness of the product. For example, in order to manipulate a bucket, enough stroke is required to extend the robot hand and pull the bucket out of the mold.

Y-axis: also called the horizontal stroke. The size of the back-and-forth movement depends on whether the manipulator takes the product from the inside of the injection molding machine and then moves it laterally out of the injection molding machine to place the product.

Z-axis: Also called the up and down stroke, it is determined by the required descending height of the manipulator and the maximum product thickness. In other words, the manipulator must be high enough so that the product can jump over the machine, and low enough so that it can Lower the components at a reasonable height from the ground.

According to the mold structure, choose single arm or double arm.

1. There are many three-plate mold products, and it is an enterprise mainly engaged in OEM, so it must choose a double-arm manipulator;

2. Hot runner mold, two-plate mold, and it remains unchanged for many years. To make your own products, you can choose a single-arm manipulator.

Depending on the environment of the injection molding workshop, choose single or double-section arms.

1. If the injection molding machine is below 250T and the driving height is high enough, a single-section arm is generally selected;

2. For injection molding machines above 300T, choose the double-section arm;

3. For those with low traffic or low factory buildings, double-section arms must be selected (sizes can be customized).

According to product characteristics, choose cantilever or horizontal walking manipulator.

1. Cantilever type manipulator: For injection molding machines below 150T, the product automatically falls off and only clamps the water inlet. It is suitable for small injection molding machines. It can only perform simple movements and has a small range of use;

2. Horizontal walking manipulator: The injection molding machine is above 50T, ensuring that the product appearance is not bumped or scratched, can move, has diversified movements, and can be packed in an orderly manner.

Drive mode selection.

1.Single axis servo

The horizontal entry and exit are driven by AC servo motors, and the upper and lower arms are driven by cylinders.

2. Two-axis servo

The horizontal entry and exit are driven by AC servo motors, and the upper and lower arms are driven by AC servo motors.

3.Three-axis/five-axis servo

(1) Three-axis servo all-electric manipulator

High rigidity, high speed, high precision and long life. The main arm is driven by AC servo motor and the auxiliary arm is driven by air.

It can be used for relatively simple automated operations, and can realize a variety of functions such as burying, stacking, and recycling, such as painting, assembly, etc.

(2) The five-axis servo all-electric manipulator has high rigidity, high speed, high precision and long life. The main arm and auxiliary arm are driven by AC servo motors. It can achieve more complex and precise movements, quickly descending inside the mold to pick up objects, and slowly descending outside the mold to place objects. It has a "quickly pick up and put down" action function, and can be used for complex applications such as in-mold stickers, in-mold inserts, and shear nozzles. , such as engraving, precision processing, etc.
